Selbu, I Love You!
They aren't socks, but they sure make the most of colorwork!
Yarn: Pink is Louet Opal in Pink Panther, and the Eggplant color is Henry's Attic Kona Superwash DK (hand dyed by me!)
Needle: KnitPicks 2.5mm 32" circular (done Magic Loop style)
Modifications: None!
What a fun and quick knit. It definitely gets the colorwork fix in, yet takes half the time of socks! The thumb was a bit fiddly, and I did learn a few things about picking up stitches in pattern versus just picking them up, but all in all, it was a great introduction to Norwegian mittens.
They need a really good blocking to even them out and straighten the edges. The yarns both were wonderful to knit with. The Louet (one of my favorites) was a bit more tightly spun and smoother than the HA Kona, but both are superwash and super soft!
You can be sure I'll be doing some stash diving this weekend to find more great combinations for some more stranded mittens!
