XBack Update

This morning before work I finished up the left front of the XBack. Before I split the front, I tried the tube on again to make sure the V was hitting me in the right place. I think I have it right this time. Now, all I have left to do is the right front and the straps for the back.

Got my new IK yesterday! I found a bunch of things I want to make, but tops on the list is the weekend getaway satchel! I think "Mary Poppins" as soon as I see it! I love the flowers, but I'm sure you could sub any pattern easily (like a big initial, or other picture). Looks like I'll be on the hunt for lots of lite lopi in the future for it! It only needs 15 skeins which isn't horrible, so it'd be about $45 for the bag (unless I can score some on ebay). I'm planning on putting it on the back burner for now and seeing if I can find the yarn cheaper (or substituting bulkier yarn and knitting with a single strand instead of doubled so the yardage is 1/2 as much). But, with lots of projects in the queue right now, I have a little time to think about it.

I also got an email from my secret pal! She is in Russia! How neat is that!!! Makes is all the more interesting.....
